Dáil Éireann - Volume 30 - 22 May, 1929 Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Accommodation in Bray School. Mr. Moore Mr. Moore 6 Mr. Moore asked the Minister for Education whether he is aware that the accommodation at Bray Boys' National School is totally inadequate for the requirements; that the schools are in an insanitary condition, without heating facilities and calculated to spread already prevalent tuberculosis; that about 100 boys who cannot be accommodated in the main building are packed in a room where some boys are compelled to hold their copy-books against a wall for want of benches; that suitable sites for new schools can only [6] be obtained at exorbitant prices; and whether he proposes to take any action in connection with the matter. Mr. Fitzgerald-Kenney Mr. Fitzgerald-Kenney Mr. Fitzgerald-Kenney: The existing Bray Boys' National School is unsuitable. It is proposed to replace it by a new schoolhouse. The manager has secured a site, which has been accepted as suitable by the Board of Works, and my Department is in communication with him with regard to the plans of the new building.
