Earnán Altún asked the Minister for Education whether he is taking steps to fill the vacancies in the administrative staff of the National Museum; and, if so, whether there is any prospect that all or some of these vacancies will be filled during the current year.

Professor O'Sullivan: Arrangements are in progress to make an appointment to the post of Keeper of the Art and Industrial Division of the Museum on the retirement of the present occupant. Steps are also being taken to advertise at an early date the vacant post of Keeper in the Natural History Division and some of the vacant posts of assistants. It will not be possible, however, [1922] to make appointments to these posts before the conclusion of the present financial year.
