Sean Ua Guilidhe asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce why payment of unemployment benefit claimed by Edward Cunningham, Barrack St., Cappoquin, Co. Waterford, has not been made.

Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Industry and Commerce (Mr. Dolan): While Edward Cunningham was in receipt of benefit on a claim dated the 16th November last, certain facts came to light which necessitated investigation and resulted in the suspension of further payments. The case is at present under consideration, and payment of benefit cannot be resumed pending the result of whatever action may be found necessary.
