Mr. Derrig (for Mr. Crowley) asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if his Department will consider the question of giving an additional grant for the completion of the important mountain road leading from Clydagh to Rathmore Parish, Co. Kerry.

Parliamentary Secretary to Minister for Lands and Fisheries (Mr. Roddy): The Land Commission have considered the question of the completion of the road referred to, and are not prepared to ask the Minister for Finance to sanction further expenditure on this work out of State funds. The completion of the road is a matter for the County Council.
