Mr. Lemass (for Mr. de Valera) Mr. Lemass (for Mr. de Valera) Mr. Lemass (for Mr. de Valera): asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the amount of land annuities paid to Great Britain in 1928 in respect of land purchased under (a) Acts prior to the Land Act, 1891, and (b) the Land Acts of 1891 to 1903, inclusive. The President The President The President: The amount of annuities paid in the financial year 1928-29 in respect of land purchased under (a) Acts prior to the Land Act, 1891, was approximately £280,000, and (b) under the Land Acts of 1891 and 1903 £2,603,862. Mr. Derrig Mr. Derrig Mr. Derrig: May I ask whether there are any annuities payable under the 1909 Act? I understood the President to give a certain figure in respect of the 1891 and the 1903 Acts.
