The President The President 906 The President: The consideration of the subject of provision of pensions for widows and orphans cannot be usefully undertaken by the Executive Council until the actuarial investigation which has been in hands for some time has been completed. For the purpose of this investigation the Actuary has requested, inter alia, that certain sets of figures should be extracted from the latest census returns. The extraction of these figures involves a very considerable amount of time and trouble. When the results of the actuarial investigation have been examined by the Departments concerned and by the Executive Council, the views of the Government on [906] the whole question will be communicated to the Dáil.
