Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Drainage at Portumna.

Proinnsias O Fathaigh asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether he is aware that some seventy acres of good land are being submerged owing to the fact that a river passing through the Ruthven estate, Portumna, has been neglected for the past ten years; and if he will state when action will be taken in accordance with the report made on this river by a Government engineer about two years ago.

Mr. Roddy: The report referred to was not made by an official of the Land Commission. The river referred to appears to be in the Killimor drainage district.
