Little asked the Minister for Justice whether he is aware that the Detective Division of the Gárda Síochána have during the past three weeks been raiding premises in the City of Dublin without warrants and without showing their cards identifying them as police officers and refusing to show them when called upon to do so, and further, to ask the Minister with what authority these detectives are acting in this manner. Mr. Fitzgerald-Kenney Mr. Fitzgerald-Kenney Mr. Fitzgerald-Kenney: During the last three weeks the Guards have searched no house without a warrant where in law a warrant was necessary, and have produced their identification cards where, under the regulations, such production was enjoined upon them. Mr. Little Mr. Little Mr. Little: Is the Minister aware that these police have been raiding certain premises in Dublin, going in and saying that they had no warrant, and refusing to produce their identification cards, and saying that there was no one in charge?
