Seosamh O Cinnéide Seosamh O Cinnéide Seosamh O Cinnéide asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether Mr. Robert English. Athlone, offered his estate at Cloonkeen, Tang, Westmeath to the Land Commission; whether he will state if this estate has been inspected by the Land Commission, and what action it is intended to take as a result; and whether, with a view to relieving the acute congestion existing in this area, he will instruct the Land Commission to expedite the acquisition and subdivision of this estate. Mr. Roddy Mr. Roddy Mr. Roddy: A communication from a person representing local people was received requesting the Land Commission to acquire the lands of Cloonkeen, on the English estate. The Land Commission had the lands inspected, and issued a proposal to purchase which was not accepted by the owner.
