Mr. J.X. Murphy asked the Minister for Justice whether, in view of the findings set out in paragraphs 256, 257 and 258 of the Report of the Commission on the Relief of the Sick and Destitute Poor on the making of affiliation orders and such matters, it is intended to introduce proposals for legislation in connection therewith.

Mr. Fitzgerald-Kenney: An Illegitimate Children (Affiliation Orders) Bill has been drafted, and is at present receiving final consideration. I hope to be in a position to introduce it shortly.
