Parliamentary Secretary to the President (Mr. Duggan): I move:—

That the Ceann Comhairle direct the Clerk of the Dáil to issue his Writ for the election of a member to fill the vacancy which exists in the Borough Constituency of Dublin [39] North, caused by the election of Mr. Alfred Byrne, who was a member of the Dáil for the said constituency, to be a member of Seanad Eireann.
