Mr. Denis Allen Mr. Denis Allen Mr. Denis Allen asked the Minister for Finance if it has been decided to have drainage work carried out in the Cahore drainage district during the coming summer. Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Finance (Mr. Bourke) Seamus Aloysius Bourke Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Finance (Mr. Bourke): I would refer the Deputy to the reply to his question of 28th March, 1928, relative to this drainage district. Since then the results of the Engineer's investigations on the question of providing a new exit channel for the district were communicated to the Wexford County Council, who were at the same time informed that if a petition for a new scheme under the Arterial Drainage Act, 1925, was received by the Commissioners of Public Works they would have the matter further investigated. No reply has so far been received, and consequently no drainage works can be carried out in the district this year. Dáil Éireann 28 Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. Drainage in Co. Wexford.
