Tomás O Conaill Tomás O Conaill Tomás O Conaill asked the Minister for Finance if he can state when he will be in a position to deal finally with the numerous outstanding applications for repayment of Dáil Eireann Loan in South Mayo, with special reference to the Ballyhaunis, Bekan, Knock and Westport areas. Mr. Blythe Mr. Blythe Mr. Blythe: I am not yet in a position to state definitely when it will be possible to deal finally with outstanding applications from persons resident in South Mayo in respect of sums stated to have been subscribed to the Dáil Eireann (Internal) Loan. A large proportion of subscribers in that area have already been repaid. As the Deputy is aware, the difficulty regarding most of the cases outstanding arises from the fact that particulars of the subscriptions were not furnished to the Dáil Department of Finance when the Loan was being raised.
