Mr. J. CROWLEY asked the Minister for Agriculture whether it is his intention to allot any moneys for reafforestation purposes in the County of Kerry, and, if so, whether he will state what amount and when the work will commence.

MINISTER for AGRICULTURE (Mr. Hogan): The Department have not yet acquired lands for afforestation purposes in County Kerry, and pending the acquisition of suitable areas there it is not, of course, feasible to allot any moneys for forestry purposes in the county.
