TOMAS O RAGHALLAIGH TOMAS O RAGHALLAIGH TOMAS O RAGHALLAIGH asked the Minister for Defence whether John J. O'Connor, Droun, Glenbeigh, Co. Kerry, is the person described as John O'Connor, Kerry, in the list of persons supplied as being in receipt of pensions under the Military Service Pensions Act, 1924; and, if so, whether the Minister will state the services rendered by this man to entitle him to a Military Service Certificate. The Board of Assessors reported to me that he rendered services as required by the Military Service Pensions Act, 1924. Mr. KERLIN Mr. KERLIN Mr. KERLIN asked the Minister for Defence if he will state the names of the officers who for the purposes of the Military Service Pensions Act, 1924, held the ranks of Colonel and Major-General and who are in receipt of pensions under that Act; and, further, to state in each case (a) the annual pension awarded, and (b) the period of service on which the pension was calculated. Mr. FITZGERALD Mr. FITZGERALD Mr. FITZGERALD: As my reply is a long tabular statement, I will, with the Deputy's permission include it in the Official Report and send him a typewritten copy. Following is the reply: 1517 [1517] Statement of Officers who for the purposes of the Military Service Pensions Act, 1924, held the ranks of Colonel and Major-General and who are in receipt of pensions under that Act:—
Mr. KERLIN Mr. KERLIN 1518 Mr. KERLIN asked the Minister for Defence if he will state the names of the officers who for the purposes of the Military Service Pensions Act, 1924, held a rank higher than that of Major-General and who have been awarded pensions under that Act since [1518] the reply on the matter previously given on the 11th November, 1927; and further, if he will state in each case (a) the annual pension awarded, and (b) the period of service on which the pension was calculated. Mr. FITZGERALD Mr. FITZGERALD 1519 [1519] Mr. FITZGERALD: Since the date mentioned a Military Service Pension has been awarded to one person who for the purposes of the Act held a rank higher than that of Major-General. His name is Joseph Edward Vize and his annual pension is £350. The period of service on which the pension was calculated is from the 1st April, 1916, to the 30th September, 1923.
