CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - CO. COUNCIL SCHOLARSHIPS.

MICHEAL O BRAONAIN asked the Minister for Education if arrangements can be made whereby the result of the County Council Scholarship Examinations—Primary to Secondary—will in future be made known earlier than has been the case this year, when parents and students had only a few days' notice previous to the opening of the Secondary Schools.

MINISTER for EDUCATION (Professor O'Sullivan): With very few exceptions the result of the County Council Secondary School Scholarship Examinations were issued this year during the first fortnight in August. It is hoped to have arrangements made whereby these result will be issued at latest in the first ten days in August in the future.
