[493] RISTEARD MAC FHEORAIS asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state why a pension has been refused to Martin Marshall, Burkestown, Ballycullane, Co. Wexford, who has been certified by a medical doctor as unfit to earn his living owing to defective vision.

Mr. BURKE: An appeal has been received in this case upon the claim to a pension under the Blind Persons Act, 1920.

The pension has not been refused, but the case has been referred to the Medical Inspector for a report on the claimant's eyesight.
