WRITTEN ANSWERS. - PAYMENT FOR POLLING BOOTH.

TOMAS O CONAILL asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state why payment has not yet been made to Mrs. Honoria Egan, Main Street, Charlestown, Co. [198] Mayo, for the use of her house as a polling booth in the East Mayo constituency in the General Election of 1922.

MINISTER for LOCAL GOVERNMENT (Mr. Burke): The Returning Officer states that on the 5th April, 1923, a cheque was sent to Mrs. Honorita Egan in payment for the use of her house as a polling station. This cheque was not cashed, and a duplicate was sent to Mrs. Egan on the 3rd instant.
