Mr. CONNOR HOGAN asked the Minister for Defence if he will state what steps have been taken to deal with the debts contracted by the responsible brigade officers of the Irish Volunteers on behalf of the forces under their control, for the period prior to the installation of the Provisional Government, and if he will state when payment will be made to the several traders concerned.

The PRESIDENT: The question of liability for debts contracted by Volunteers during the period mentioned is under consideration. I hope to come to a decision at an early date, and will then communicate with the Deputy.
