WRITTEN ANSWERS. - CURRAGH COMPENSATION CLAIM.

AODH O CULACHAIN asked the Minister for Defence if he is aware that John Mullaly, hackney driver, of Walshestown, Curragh Edge, Curragh Camp, has not yet been paid compensation for a horse commandeered in New-bridge on the 1st June, 1922, and returned to him on the 28th June, 1922; further, whether Captain O'Donoghue and Farrier Sergeant-major McCormack, the officers who commandeered the horse, can verify the claim, and, if so, whether payment will be expedited.

Mr. DUGGAN: No claim appears to have been received at Headquarters from Mr. Mullaly. If Mr. Mullaly will furnish one to the Chief Claims Officer, Portobello Barracks, Dublin, it will receive consideration.
