AILFRID O BROIN: To ask the Minister for Finance if an amended application has been received from the Dublin Port and Docks Board for a grant to carry on their Improvement Works and continue the employment of three hundred men, at present under a threat of dismissal, and, if so, whether he will state the result of the Board's application.

MINISTER for FINANCE: A Deputation from the Dublin Port and Docks Board waited on me this morning, when suggestions for enabling these works to be continued were discussed. The Board is to consider the matter further, and I will await a communication from it.
